Reaching out to people

Christians overall are a pretty caring group of people. Jesus commanded us to love one another and that they way we love people reflects the love we have for God.

In America though we've gotten so busy that showing our friends and neighbors God's love has become something we don't have time for. We're becoming a country that is more connected that ever but with few deep relationships. We can reach people instantly yet seem to not really know people.

I was in the Dominican Republic on a mission trip and down there they did not have much materially yet they seemed to have time to spend with friends and family.
